The Wharfedale ELYSIAN 4R is the flagship four-driver, three-way floorstanding loudspeaker in Wharfedale's Generation R ELYSIAN Series. Designed for ambitious two-channel stereo systems, the ELYSIAN 4R incorporates a custom 27 x 90mm Air Motion Transformer (AMT) treble unit, a dedicated 150mm (6") coated glass-fibre matrix midrange driver, and dual 220mm (8.5") coated glass-fibre matrix bass transducers housed in a substantial multi-layer enclosure.
Reaching down to 24 Hz (-6dB) in room, low-frequency performance is managed by Wharfedale's Slot-Loaded Profiled Port (SLPP) bass management system, which routes internal cabinet air pressure downward through a profiled slot in the integrated plinth to minimise turbulence and reduce boundary placement sensitivity. Featuring Generation R crossover topology with direct-path PCBs, high-silicon-iron-cored coils, air-core inductors, and low-inductance resistors, the ELYSIAN 4R provides wide dynamic scale, articulate low-end authority, and transparent acoustic imaging.

- Slot-Loaded Profiled Port (SLPP) Bass System: Downward-firing port system vents cabinet air energy into the plinth gap to equalise pressure and ensure stable low-end integration across listening spaces.
