We are pleased to introduce Indiana Line to the Audio Emotion portfolio, a brand that has been steadily refining the European hi-fi landscape for over four decades.
For those who may not be familiar with this manufacturer, Indiana Line offers a highly practical balance in the audio world: genuine acoustic capability, traditional craftsmanship, and very sensible price points.
Here is an overview of the newest addition to our catalogue and what you can expect from their range.
A Legacy of Italian Audio
Founded in Turin in 1977, Indiana Line is one of the more established Italian brands in the audio sector. For over 40 years, they have built a quiet but solid reputation for designing speakers that reflect the warmth and musicality often associated with classic Italian audio design.
Today, that heritage is supported by a European research and development team working alongside Italian acoustic specialists. The approach is a straightforward fusion of traditional audio principles and modern engineering techniques, creating speakers that focus primarily on engaging musical reproduction.
Sensible Engineering
What caught our attention at Audio Emotion is Indiana Line’s rational approach to speaker design. They prioritise optimised production processes, carefully selected components, and custom-designed crossovers over industry buzzwords.
Their acoustic engineers utilise several proprietary design elements across the ranges to ensure consistent performance:
- Curv Cones: A composite material chosen to combine the natural resonance of traditional materials with the dynamics and precision of stiffer membranes.
- Dual-Wave Suspension: An engineered surround designed to extend the driver's linear operating range, helping to reduce distortion in the low bass registers and maintain midrange clarity.
- DIRS (Damped Inner Reinforcement System): Internal bracing paired with elastomer pads to absorb cabinet resonances before they affect the audio output.
- Symbiotic Drive: A design concept where the cabinet, crossover, and transducers are developed concurrently to ensure they work together efficiently.
The Product Ranges
Whether you are putting together a dedicated stereo system or integrating a home cinema, Indiana Line provides a variety of practical solutions.
The Diva Series
Serving as the flagship of the catalogue, the Diva series combines mechanically stable enclosures with refined sound quality. Featuring matte front panels and magnetically attachable grilles, the Diva floorstanding models utilise base-firing bass reflex ports. They are designed to deliver an open top-end with articulate, well-controlled bass.
The Tesi Series
Characterised by classic cabinet shapes with softly rounded edges, the Tesi series represents the brand's core value offering. Utilising silk dome tweeters and mica-reinforced mid-woofers, these speakers provide a mature, dynamic sound that performs reliably well across a wide variety of musical genres.
The Lira & Utah Series
For specific listening preferences, the Lira series acts as a more stylised option, utilising black bamboo internal bracing to deliver a pure, uncoloured sound. The Utah series caters to those who prefer a more retro aesthetic and sound signature, featuring substantial 12-inch bass drivers for a warm midrange and a wide soundstage.
Basso Subwoofers & Custom Installation
Alongside traditional hi-fi, Indiana Line offers Basso active subwoofers for low-frequency cinema extension. They also supply a range of custom installation speakers—such as the moisture-resistant Luna and concentric RD series—for integrating audio into secondary rooms or commercial spaces.
Why We Are Stocking Indiana Line
At Audio Emotion, we continually look for equipment that offers honest, reliable performance. Indiana Line fits this brief perfectly. Their speakers possess an effortless musicality that is simply enjoyable to listen to.
Importantly, they offer an excellent entry point into high-fidelity audio. They are a very easy recommendation, whether you are an experienced listener looking for a cost-effective second system or someone taking their first proper step into two-channel audio.
