Released in 1973, Catch a Fire is the record that introduced The Wailers to the world, and it hasn't aged a day. From "Concrete Jungle" and "Slave Driver" to "Stir It Up", every track hits the mark. The core harmonies between Bob, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer are effortless, and the rhythms are locked in from start to finish.
Extra studio polish came from backing vocals by Rita Marley and Judy Mowatt, who would later team up with Marcia Griffiths as the legendary I-Threes on future albums.
No filler here - just a great record that sounds best played loud.
