The Wharfedale ELYSIAN 3R is a reference four-driver, three-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed to deliver the scale, resolution, and dynamics of flagship floorstanders in a room-friendly cabinet profile. Positioned within Wharfedale's flagship range, the ELYSIAN 3R incorporates a custom 27 x 90mm Air Motion Transformer (AMT) high-frequency driver, a dedicated 150mm (6") coated glass-fibre matrix midrange unit, and dual 180mm (7") coated glass-fibre matrix bass drivers.
Reaching down to 32 Hz (-6dB), low-frequency tuning is managed by Wharfedale's Slot-Loaded Profiled Port (SLPP) bass system, which directs internal cabinet pressure downward through a profiled slot in the integrated plinth to equalise pressure and simplify placement near walls. Utilizing Generation R crossover refinements with high-silicon-iron-cored coils, air-core inductors, and direct-path circuit board layouts, the ELYSIAN 3R delivers effortless dynamic headroom, articulate low end, and transparent soundstaging.
