The Wharfedale ELYSIAN CR is a flagship reference three-way centre-channel loudspeaker designed to partner with the ELYSIAN R Series models (1R, 2R, 3R, and 4R) in high-end multichannel audio and home cinema installations. Built around a genuine three-way transducer architecture, the ELYSIAN CR handles dialogue, vocal focus, and front soundstage effects with the same dynamic scale, clarity, and tonal balance as Wharfedale's flagship main loudspeakers.
The driver complement features a custom 27 x 45mm Air Motion Transformer (AMT) treble unit, an isolated 150mm (6") coated glass-fibre matrix midrange driver, and dual 220mm (8.5") coated glass-fibre matrix bass drivers. Low-frequency tuning is managed by Wharfedale's Slot-Loaded Profiled Port (SLPP) bass reflex system, providing extension down to 27 Hz (-6dB). Featuring Generation R crossover engineering with high-silicon-iron-cored coils, air-core inductors, and direct-path PCBs, the ELYSIAN CR ensures seamless integration and articulate vocal intelligibility.

- Generation R Crossover Engineering: Reworked crossover utilizing direct-path PCBs, high-silicon-iron-cored coils for bass, air-core coils for mid/treble, Super Audiophile polypropylene capacitors, and low-inductance resistors.
- Slot-Loaded Profiled Port (SLPP) Bass System: Vents internal cabinet pressure into the profiled plinth gap, equalising airflow to improve bass extension and simplify cabinet placement.
- Luxury ELYSIAN R Series Finishes: Heavyweight multi-layer enclosure available in Walnut High Gloss, Matte Black, and Lunar Grey, complemented by refined matte-black metal trim details.
