The Wharfedale ELYSIAN 1R is a luxury two-way standmount loudspeaker that refines Wharfedale's flagship series design with enhanced crossover topology and cabinet tuning. Combining hand-finished piano-lacquer craftsmanship with advanced driver technology, the ELYSIAN 1R pairs a custom Air Motion Transformer (AMT) treble unit with a 180mm woven glass-fibre cone bass/midrange transducer, delivering transparent highs, expressive vocals, and controlled dynamic scale.
Low-frequency performance is managed by Wharfedale's Slot-Loaded Profiled Port (SLPP) system, which routes internal bass energy directly into the gap between the cabinet base and the plinth to equalise cabinet pressure and simplify placement near boundaries. Engineered to partner with optional mass-loaded steel stands, the ELYSIAN 1R delivers open soundstaging, low distortion, and reference-grade accuracy for modern living spaces.
