The Tannoy Prestige Westminster Royal GR (Gold Reference) is the pinnacle 2-way floorstanding loudspeaker in Tannoy's flagship Prestige series, custom-engineered for large listening spaces. Handcrafted in Scotland, the 530-liter cabinet features an intricate compound horn structure—combining a front-firing midrange horn with a complex rear-loaded low-frequency horn—constructed from high-density birch plywood and 19 mm MDF, finished in hand-selected oiled burr walnut with precision gold-anodized aluminum trims.
At the center of the Westminster Royal GR is a 15-inch (380 mm) Gold Reference Dual Concentric transducer. Driven by Tannoy's high-energy Alnico magnet system and PepperPot WaveGuide, it pairs a fiber-enriched paper pulp woofer cone with a heat-treated 52 mm (2") aluminum-magnesium alloy high-frequency compression driver. Delivering an unprecedented 99 dB/W sensitivity and up to 127 dB peak SPL, the speaker incorporates hard-wired time-compensated crossovers, Differential Materials Technology (DMT) internal bracing, and a 5-point binding post array for ground-referenced RF noise elimination.

- 5-Point Binding Post Array: Gold-plated 24ct binding posts support bi-wiring/bi-amping alongside a dedicated fifth terminal for chassis grounding to mitigate RF interference.
- High-Density Cabinet with DMT Bracing: Heavily damped 19 mm MDF with internal birch plywood bracing uses Differential Materials Technology to couple drivers and eliminate enclosure resonances.
