The Rogers LS5/9 Classic SE (Special Edition) is an upgraded, BBC-licensed two-way bass reflex monitor loudspeaker that elevates the performance of the standard LS5/9 Classic. Handcrafted in England, the SE edition introduces critical crossover component enhancements and cabinet optimizations designed to deliver superior stereo imaging, improved instrument separation, tauter low-frequency response, and realistic tonal accuracy.
The LS5/9 Classic SE retains the iconic 9mm Birch plywood cabinet construction, 34mm Audax HD34 tweeter with phase-correction plate, and Rogers 210mm polypropylene mid/bass driver. Key SE refinements include high-grade dust iron inductor cores within the 27-element crossover network to achieve a more natural acoustic timbre, along with a Panzaholz front baffle balance. Visually distinguished by exclusive SE gold badges on the front grille and gold rear identification labels, the speaker is optimized for pairing with optional Rogers Panzaholz loudspeaker stands.
