The REL Acoustics S/850 serves as the flagship reference subwoofer of the revamped Serie S lineup. Engineered to surpass the output and dynamic scale of prior reference models, the S/850 pairs a 12-inch long-throw CarbonAlloy™ driver—featuring ultra-lightweight pure carbon-fiber dust caps—with an 850W RMS (1,000W peak) linear Class D power amplifier. The result is a fast, uncolored, and deep low-frequency extension reaching down to 19 Hz (-6 dB).
Designed for both high-end two-channel stereo systems and home theaters, the S/850 utilizes REL’s pure analog filter circuitry. Its famous High-Level Neutrik Speakon connection captures the exact sonic signature of your main amplifier, and it can operate simultaneously with the discrete .1/LFE channel input. Featuring thick internal aluminum bracing and billet cylinder feet, the S/850 is fully modular and ready for REL Line Array stacking configurations (up to 6 units high).

- Simultaneous High-Level & .1/LFE Inputs: Features REL's pure analog filter architecture allowing high-level stereo integration and discrete .1/LFE movie soundtracks to operate concurrently without switching settings.
- Serie S Line Array Compatibility: Built with internal aluminum slabs and precision mechanical couplers to allow stacking up to 6 units high for floor-to-ceiling line array scale.
- Airship Direct™ Wireless Ready: Fully compatible with the optional Airship Direct™ transmitter for zero-compression wireless streaming of both High-Level and .1/LFE signals simultaneously.
- Refined Aesthetic Finishes: Elongated cabinet proportions with warm silver-gold insignia, recessed handles, billet leveling cylinders, and support for an optional Premium Wood Grille.
