The REL Acoustics S/550 serves as the gateway to REL’s prestigious Serie S line, delivering speed, subterranean depth, and refined musicality in a compact chassis. Engineered with a front-firing 10-inch CarbonAlloy™ active driver and a down-firing 12-inch flat carbon passive radiator, the S/550 reaches down to an impressive -6 dB at 19 Hz. Its newly redesigned cabinet is lower, wider, and deeper to provide added internal volume while reducing visual mass, complete with carved side strakes and titanium-accented handles.
At the heart of the S/550 is a 550W RMS (600W continuous) Pure Class D amplifier, supported by premium polypropylene capacitors and REL’s second-generation PerfectFilter™. Featuring REL's iconic 100% analog High Level Neutrik Speakon input alongside simultaneous .1/LFE RCA and XLR connections, the S/550 seamlessly blends with main speakers for music while simultaneously handling cinematic low-frequency effects. Designed to grow alongside your system, the S/550 supports vertical REL Line Array stacking and optional zero-compression Airship Direct™ wireless connectivity.
