The REL Planar PL-1 is an ultra-thin, high-performance subwoofer engineered for small-to-medium rooms where traditional floor-standing subwoofers are visually intrusive or spatially impractical. Designed to leverage boundary effect coupling, the PL-1 can be mounted directly on-wall or positioned close to boundary walls using an optional cart, delivering articulate low-frequency extension down to 31 Hz (-6 dB) from a chassis only 5.7 inches (144 mm) deep.
Driven by a 300-Watt RMS Pure Class D amplifier, the PL-1 houses dual front-firing 6.5-inch FibreAlloy long-throw drivers paired with a rear-firing 10-inch passive radiator featuring over 45mm of excursion. Utilizing REL’s all-analog PerfectFilter circuitry and high-level Neutrik SpeakOn input connection, the subwoofer integrates with main speakers without digital latency. Each unit features built-in Airship Direct wireless technology, utilizing a pre-paired receiver concealed within a rear compartment for cable-free installation.

- Integrated Airship Direct Wireless: Built-in, factory pre-paired wireless receiver housed in a concealed rear-panel compartment for uncompressed, zero-latency wireless signal transmission.
- Flexible High-Level & LFE Connectivity: Features REL's High-Level Neutrik SpeakOn connection alongside standard Low-Level RCA and dedicated LFE RCA inputs.
