The Pro-Ject Xtension 9 Evolution is a high-end belt-drive turntable that combines mass-loading and magnetic isolation principles within a slimline chassis designed to fit standard audio equipment racks. Built around a dense MDF plinth packed with metal granulate for high mass and anti-resonant stability, the entire 16 kg turntable floats above its supporting surface via three height-adjustable magnetic feet.
The main platter is precision-machined from a heavy aluminium alloy, internally damped with Thermo-Plastic Elastomers (TPE) and topped with a fused, recycled vinyl layer to provide an ideal interface for records. Spinning on an inverted stainless steel axle with a ceramic ball bearing and magnetic support, bearing friction and operational noise are kept to a minimum. The turntable comes equipped with a 9-inch 9cc Evolution one-piece carbon fibre tonearm, an integrated electronic speed control for 33/45 RPM switching, and a 5-pin DIN output connection.

- 9cc Evolution Carbon Fibre Tonearm: One-piece tapered carbon fibre tonearm wand featuring ABEC 7 quality inverted bearings and flexible VTA/azimuth adjustment.
- Integrated Electronic Speed Control: Built-in AC generator provides clean power driving the 9V AC motor, allowing electronic speed switching between 33 and 45 RPM at the press of a button.
- 5-Pin DIN Output Interface: Fitted with a standard 5-pin DIN phono connector, allowing straightforward cable upgrades to balanced or high-grade RCA interconnects.
