The Pro-Ject X1 B is a technologically advanced, high-performance manual turntable that merges audiophile-grade engineering with Pro-Ject's True Balanced Connection technology. Featuring a newly developed Pick it Pro Balanced MM cartridge and a 5-pin mini-XLR output, the X1 B enables fully symmetrical, noise-free signal transmission when paired with a balanced phono stage (such as the Phono Box S3 B or DS3 B). Housed in a heavy, resonance-absorbing MDF plinth, it delivers incredible clarity, a lower noise floor, and fine detail retrieval.
Built with precision analogue components, the X1 B incorporates an ultra-light, 8.6-inch carbon/aluminium sandwich tonearm with an integrated headshell, full Azimuth and VTA adjustment, and a TPE-damped counterweight. A quiet DC/AC generator board paired with electronic speed switching drives the heavy 1.5 kg acrylic platter, while height-adjustable aluminium/TPE sandwich feet isolate the unit from external vibrations. Available in high-gloss black, high-gloss white, or real-wood walnut veneer finishes.
