The MUTEC MC3+ Smart Clock is a digital audio master clock, re-clocker, and signal distributor engineered to elevate the performance of connected D/A converters, digital audio workstations, and studio equipment. Powered by MUTEC's proprietary 1G-Clock technology utilizing high-speed Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS), the MC3+ aggressively re-clocks incoming digital streams to eliminate jitter, digital clicks, and pops while enhancing overall soundstage width, clarity, and harmonic detail.
Functioning both as a master clock generator and a clock distributor, the unit provides six individually buffered Word Clock outputs capable of generating rates up to 768.0 kHz and Super Clock rates up to 12.288 MHz. It supports lock capability to external 10 MHz reference signals (atomic clocks or GPS receivers) and features fail-safe hold-over modes to ensure continuous synchronization during live sound and broadcast operations.
