The Clearaudio Concept Signature is a high-precision, user-friendly turntable that refines the original concept design with advanced speed stabilization and modern tactile controls. Its multi-layer body features a core of medium-density fiberboard (or high-pressure bonded solid wood layers) topped with a satin-finished synthetic upper layer to minimize resonance and acoustic feedback.
The turntable utilizes a decoupled DC motor suspended via modified O-ring Isolation Motor Suspension ("IMS") rings derived from the Reference Jubilee deck. Drive is transmitted via a polished flat belt to a CNC-machined aluminum sub-platter and a 30mm high-density synthetic main platter. At the core of its operational upgrades is Tacho-Speed-Control (TSC), an active real-time speed monitoring system that auto-calibrates at startup and dynamically adjusts motor output against belt tension degradation, temperature shifts, and bearing friction.
