At its core, D/A conversion is handled by dual Texas Instruments PCM1792A DAC chipsets running in a fully balanced configuration. The analogue output stage features four 6922EH vacuum tubes with completely separate tube circuits for both balanced and unbalanced outputs, alongside a 12DT5 tube-regulated power supply. With dedicated independent power supplies for digital and analogue sections alongside versatile digital inputs (including Hi-Res USB supporting up to 24-bit/192kHz), the CS-100CD functions as both a premium standalone CD transport and a high-performance audio DAC.
