The Cayin ID6 is a reference high-resolution network streamer, dual-mono DAC, digital preamplifier, and fully discrete headphone amplifier anchored by hand-matched 12AU7 vacuum valves. Built upon a customized Android 14 operating system with a Rockchip RK3576 processor, the ID6 features a system-wide bit-perfect audio architecture that bypasses standard Android sample-rate conversion. Its dual ESS ES9082Q DACs operate in MONO configuration alongside an XMOS XU316 USB interface, processing audio formats up to PCM 32-bit/768kHz and native DSD512.
What sets the ID6 apart is its versatile analogue output stage. Listeners can choose between three distinct timbres: Classic Tube, Modern Tube, and neutral Solid-State. Crucially, the 12AU7 tube stage applies across all analogue outputs—including the headphone jacks, fixed RCA/XLR Line Outputs, and variable RCA/XLR Pre Outputs—allowing you to feed tube warmth into external amplifiers, power amps, or active speakers. With a 6-inch Full HD+ touchscreen, internal M.2 NVMe SSD expansion (up to 2TB), and comprehensive streaming app support (Qobuz, TIDAL, Apple Music, Spotify), the ID6 serves as a total digital-and-analogue hub.
