The Apollo Duet Series (Duet 5 / Duet 6) is a pair of loudspeaker support stands handcrafted in the UK from solid European oak. Unlike conventional hybrid metal-and-wood designs, the Duet features solid oak for both the base plinths and vertical load-bearing pillars, establishing a rigid, non-resonant timber platform that complements high-fidelity domestic audio environments. Manufactured exclusively from FSC/PEFC and UKTR-certified sustainable European oak, the stands are engineered to acoustically match the aesthetic and material properties of the Apollo Podium equipment rack range.
Offered in dedicated 500mm and 600mm height options to align high-frequency drivers with ear level at seated listening positions, each stand supports loudspeakers weighing up to 15 kg. The series includes a standard 160 x 220 mm steel top plate alongside mini isolation gel pads that decouple the loudspeaker enclosure from the stand. The solid oak base panels are fitted with M8 adjustable bright zinc-plated (BZP) floor spikes for leveling on carpeted surfaces, with optional mass-loading plates, alternative top-plate dimensions, and floor spike shoes available to tailor mechanical damping and room integration.
