The Aavik R-880 is a flagship reference phono preamplifier engineered by Audio Group Denmark to deliver unprecedented analog resolution, holographic soundstaging, and a virtually non-existent noise floor. Housed in a massive, resonance-dampened chassis crafted from solid copper and composite materials, the R-880 completely isolates sensitive micro-signals from electromagnetic and mechanical interference. It features dedicated input stages for Moving Magnet (MM), Moving Coil (MC), and optical cartridges, allowing vinyl enthusiasts to extract maximum dynamic expression and tonal warmth from any turntable configuration.
At the heart of the R-880’s reference performance is Audio Group Denmark’s advanced Ansuz noise-reduction technology. The circuit layout integrates 66 active Tesla coils, 132 active square PCB Tesla coils, 2 active zirconium anti-aerial resonance Tesla coils, and 8 analog dither circuits. Operating alongside adjustable gain and impedance matching, this comprehensive noise-suppression suite eliminates background electrical hash and parasitic resonances, yielding ultra-precise RIAA equalization and astonishing musical realism.
