The Aavik R-288 is a high-performance reference phono preamplifier engineered by Audio Group Denmark to deliver exceptional analog clarity, wide dynamic range, and an ultra-quiet background. Housed in a non-magnetic, resonance-damped enclosure designed to minimize micro-vibrations and electromagnetic interference, the R-288 provides specialized input stages for both Moving Coil (MC) and optical phono cartridges, allowing audiophiles to extract maximum detail and emotional connection from their vinyl collections.
Central to the performance of the R-288 is Audio Group Denmark’s advanced Ansuz noise-suppression suite. Featuring a dedicated array of 72 active Tesla coils, 144 active square PCB Tesla coils, and 6 analog dither circuits, the unit actively neutralizes voltage spikes and ambient RF interference. Coupled with selectable gain settings and extensive input load resistance adjustment, the R-288 ensures pristine signal integrity and precise RIAA curve equalization.
