The Aavik P-588 is the flagship stereo power amplifier of the x88 series, engineered by Audio Group Denmark to deliver 2 x 300 Watts into 8 Ohms (2 x 600 Watts into 4 Ohms). Designed in collaboration by Gryphon Audio founder Flemming Erik Rasmussen and Michael Børresen, the P-588 combines Pascal Class D technology with proprietary UMAC™ pulse-width modulation for ultra-low noise, high dampening factors, and precise loudspeaker control.
Housed in a low-resonance, non-magnetic composite chassis, the amplifier isolates sensitive audio signals from mechanical vibration and electromagnetic interference. Power is supplied by a sine-wave Resonant Mode Power Supply capable of handling high peak current demands effortlessly. Backed by Audio Group Denmark’s active noise-reduction suite—comprising 108 active Tesla coils, 259 active square PCB Tesla coils, 7 Anti-Aerial Resonance Coils, and 10 analog dither circuits—the P-588 drives distortion down to 0.0028% THD+N for exceptional dynamic authority and musical transparency.
