Score: 5 / 5 Mint
The Eversolo Play CD Edition is an all-in-one streaming integrated amplifier that combines network audio, disc playback, and speaker amplification within a CNC-machined aluminium chassis. Built around a multi-core ARM streaming engine running Eversolo's EOS (EverSolo Original Sampling-rate) technology, the Play CD Edition bypasses Android sample-rate conversion to ensure bit-perfect signal processing up to PCM 768kHz/32-bit and native DSD512. Digital decoding is handled by AKM's VELVET SOUND AK4493SEQ 32-bit DAC, whilst the power section utilises PurePath Ultra HD Class D technology backed by a low-noise PFC + LLC power supply to deliver 60W per channel into 8 Ohms (110W into 4 Ohms).
Equipped with an integrated Hitachi-LG optical CD drive housed in a vibration-dampened chassis, the CD Edition provides stable disc playback with custom error correction and built-in CD ripping functionality. Operating via a 5.5-inch HD colour touchscreen featuring retro VU meters and a customizable RGB volume ring, the system includes room acoustic calibration, a 15-band graphic / 10-band parametric EQ, and smart bass management. Inputs and outputs encompass HDMI ARC, Optical, Coaxial, USB 3.0 OTG, MM/MC Phono, an active Subwoofer output, and direct binding posts for stereo speakers.
KEY FEATURES & PROPRIETARY TECHNOLOGIES
- Hitachi-LG Optical CD Drive Assembly: Vibration-damped CD-ROM mechanism featuring advanced error-correction algorithms for scratched media and an integrated CD ripper to transfer tracks directly to local storage.
- AKM AK4493SEQ VELVET SOUND DAC: Premium 32-bit DAC delivering wide dynamic range, ultra-low noise, and native hardware decoding up to PCM 768kHz/32-bit and DSD512.
- PurePath Ultra HD Class D Amplification: High-efficiency amplification section supplying 60W per channel into 8 Ohms (110W into 4 Ohms) with extremely low distortion (THD < 0.0037%).
- EOS Bit-Perfect Audio Engine: Proprietary EverSolo Original Sampling-rate engine completely bypasses operating system Sample Rate Conversion (SRC) limits for uncompromised playback purity.
- Integrated Room Correction & Dual EQ Engine: Automated room acoustic calibration via mobile app or external microphone, featuring a 15-band graphic EQ, 10-band parametric EQ, and customizable crossover control.
- MM/MC Phono & HDMI ARC Inputs: Built-in phono preamplifier stage compatible with Moving Magnet and Moving Coil turntables, alongside HDMI ARC for TV integration.
- 5.5-Inch HD Touchscreen & RGB Light Ring: Full-colour interface with customizable VU meter styles and a musical spectrum RGB lighting ring surrounding the volume dial.
- Low-Noise PFC + LLC Power Supply: Power Factor Correction and LLC resonant converter power supply with NTC thermistor temperature protection and inrush current suppression.

Our Grading Guarantee
All equipment listed on this site undergoes a multi-point inspection by our staff. While we use a standardised 1–5 Grading Scale, please note that "pre-owned" implies some degree of previous life. We strive for transparency and use the following terms:
- Visual Inspection: Condition grades are subjective but applied conservatively. We provide high-resolution photography of the actual unit for sale (no stock photos). We encourage buyers to zoom in on all images as they constitute part of the formal product description.
- Functional Testing: Unless labelled Grade 1 , all units have been tested for power, input/output integrity, and basic mechanical operation. Vintage units (20+ years) are tested for "period-appropriate" functionality; unless specified, internal components like capacitors are original.
- "Fair" Exclusions: Items graded 1 (Fair) are sold strictly for parts or repair. These items are ineligible for returns, refunds, or "Item Not as Described" claims regarding their condition.
- Return Window: If a unit arrives in a condition significantly different than its assigned grade (e.g., a Grade 4 unit arrives with a shattered faceplate), you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery.

Looks "used" but has been respected.
Good
Functional, but shows its age.
Fair
Functional, but may have some damage or missing parts.
