Each bass unit is mass loaded with a specific resin to lower the resonant frequency and stiffen the bextrene cone. Stiffening the cone dramatically improves the low-frequency definition and bass attack of the subwoofer system, greatly enhancing low-level spatial detail.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e*AB3a will work with all LS3\/5A speakers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eEach subwoofer cabinet is constructed from 12mm birch plywood (the same cabinet material used in our award-winning Classic LS3\/5A speakers) and houses a 50 Watt mono amplifier.\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eEach amplifier is adjustable for gain, frequency and phase response. Depending on the speaker position and room acoustics, the amplifier can be tailored to match the listening room acoustic perfectly.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe recommended connection is via the high-level Speakon input. Speakon connection leads are supplied with the subwoofers for ease of connection.
