How to reach absolute performance in a floor standing design with a cabinet size still suitable for a living room.

The cabinet of Acclara is made out of 40 and 50 mm multilayer wooden sandwich that combines high mass and optimal resonance absorbing behaviour.

Two solid and heavy metal plates, connected each other by steel threaded bars, model a really stiff cage for largest cabinet sides.

Acclara tweeter and midrange are from most expensive and performing line of speaker units from German Accuton brand, the Cell Line.

The Jewel In The Crown

The Acclara Diamond is bestowed with a very special tweeter.

A thin dome of diamond is ideal for a tweeter because the stiffness to weight ratio of this material is really unsurpassed. A concave dome is used because the moving assembly is more rigid and better damped than convex domes, and it also shows a better dispersion.

For this reason, the sonic character of diamond tweeters is not what you could expect, an overly brilliant sound, but it is just the opposite. The diamonds simply disappear, only music remains.

Bass - Deep and Controlled

Bass loading follows the classical Albedo tradition of transmission line design. In this case, two twin but separated Helmholine labyrinths are arranged in order to have a perfect symmetry of bass path for the woofers.

Helmholine is an Albedo patented variation of transmission line design that uses internal Helmholtz resonators for acoustic filtering of system bass output.

The result is a deep firm bass response, with controlled tonal colour.

TECHNICAL DATA

System > floor standing three way

Loading > twin mirrored transmission line filtered by resonators (Helmholine System)

Drivers > 3 x 7 ceramic woofers, 5" ceramic midrange, 1 diamond tweeter

Crossover > acoustic second order

Sensitivity > 85 dB (2.83V 1m)

Nominal impedance > 4 ohm

Frequency response > 35 - 33.000 Hz

Dimensions > 65,5 x 27,5 x 140,5 cm

Weight > 135 kg net each

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0917/3283/6618/files/albedo-acclara-diamond-pair--32452-p.png?v=1760363086
